We were delighted to welcome third- and fourth-year Education students from the University of Namibia(UNAM) to Naankuse Primary School for an enriching hands-on learning experience. The visit offered students the opportunity to see firsthand how theory and practice come together in a real classroom environment.
During their time at the school, the students explored the unique challenges and rewards of multigrade teaching, engaging deeply with mathematics and language education across different age groups. They observed teaching methods, participated in classroom activities, and gained insights into how educators adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
Beyond the classroom, the visit also provided students with a deeper understanding of conservation in Namibia. They had the chance to connect with our wildlife mission and meet some of Namibia’s incredible carnivores up close. This combination of education and conservation offered a holistic perspective, highlighting the importance of nurturing both young minds and the natural world around them.
It was a day of learning, exchange, and inspiration! Students left with new ideas, practical experience, and a renewed appreciation for the impact that dedicated teaching and conservation work can have on communities and the environment.
