A Wild Success: Veterinary Wildlife Experience Wraps Up at Forever Harnas Wildlife Foundation

ree

Another unforgettable chapter has come to a close at Forever Harnas Wildlife Foundation as the latest Veterinary Wildlife Experience draws to an end. Over the past two weeks, participants immersed themselves in the real world of conservation medicine, gaining hands-on experience with some of Namibia’s most iconic wildlife.

From darting cheetahs for routine health checks at Neuras in the Namib Desert, to responding to a lion emergency at TimBila, treating sick meerkats and even performing a lump removal on a leopard at Harnas, there was never a dull moment! Each day brought new challenges, new learnings and moments of awe that only wildlife care can offer.

Guided by the expertise and mentorship of Dr Lyndsay Scott, participants not only worked directly with animals but also attended detailed lectures that deepened their understanding of wildlife health and conservation. And, true to the spirit of Namibia, there was still time for breathtaking sunsets, refreshing sundowners and memorable game drives.
