His mother, a presumed conflict animal, had been humanely trapped in a capture cage, the landowner insisting on removing her from his land. Mum and cubs came to the N/a’an ku sê Foundation Wildlife Sanctuary, with the mother’s ultimate release ensuing. To ensure the survival of the cubs, Ombeli was lovingly hand raised by sanctuary staff, growing into a powerful male leopard and the perfect ambassador for his wild brethren.
