A Shared Commitment to Care

Each Saturday, inspired by the Naankuse Lifeline Clinic, residents of the Epukiro community in the Omaheke Region of Namibia come together with a shared purpose. With bags in hand, they head out into their neighbourhoods to clean the streets and care for the spaces they call home.
Week after week, significant amounts of litter are removed, creating a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone. The work is demanding, but it is met with a strong sense of pride and community. After the morning’s efforts, participants gather to enjoy a hearty meal, a simple but meaningful reward for their dedication and hard work.
This initiative is made possible through the invaluable support of Namib Mills, who sponsor the ingredients that help feed the nation and ensure that every volunteer is nourished after a long day of service.
By keeping the community clean and tummies filled, this weekly effort continues to strengthen both the environment and the bonds between the people who care for it.
