Exciting developments are underway at the Lifeline Clinic as Naankuse embarks on a groundbreaking project to build a brand-new eco village for the San community. This innovative initiative is set to provide sustainable housing while preserving cultural heritage, and the project has already drawn significant attention.
The Vice-President of Namibia, Lucia Witbooi, paid a special visit to the site, taking time to tour the grounds, stroll through the gardens, and gain a detailed overview of the project. Expressing her support, Witbooi commended the initiative, saying, "I am encouraged by the work of the Naankuse Foundation." Her words reflected the hope and excitement surrounding this transformative effort.
Joining her at the site was the project’s main investor, Jan Verburg, who, along with the team, conducted a quick inspection of the building area. Afterward, everyone returned to the Lifeline Clinic, where food was distributed to the local community and all the hardworking staff involved in bringing the project to life.
While meals were shared and conversations flowed, official agreements were signed, solidifying key partnerships and laying the groundwork for the project’s continued success. The day was marked by collaboration, community spirit, and the promise of a brighter future for the San families who will call the eco village home.
This milestone highlights the Naankuse Foundation’s commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment. With every brick laid and every agreement signed, the vision of a safe, eco-friendly, and culturally respectful village is becoming a reality.
