N/a’an ku sê chef wins award N/a’an ku sê is proud to say that we employ 23 Bushman families in a variety of roles at the sanctuary and lodge and are dedicated to improving the lives of these historic tribes people through training, education, healthcare and improved living conditions. One of these Bushmen is trainee chef Lientjie. Lientjie has been trained by the Lodge manager, Rhona Strauss whose dedication and passion for not only her work as a chef but also to improving the lives for the Bushman has enabled Lientjie to win 3rd place in the recent Namibian Chef of the year competition. Afrika für Fortgeschrittene Den August 2008 verbrachte die deutsche Lektorin, Übersetzerin und Buchautorin Barbara Imgrund aus Heidelberg in Namibia. Nachdem sie zwei Jahre zuvor auf einer Reise durch Kenia ihre Liebe zu Afrika entdeckt hatte, wollte sie den „dunklen Kontinent“ einmal aus einer anderen Perspektive als der des Touristen kennenlernen. Diary of a female cheetah release & tracking, 29 March 2009 After a nine hour journey from N/a’an ku sê to NamibRand and one last night in the transport cage at Gorrasis, our female cheetah tasted freedom again. Leopard release - Feb 09.pdf On the 3rd February, volunteers Jill, Andrea, Kirsten and Lucia set out with our research experts, Flo and Cila, for a truly unforgettable experience. They were travelling to the Namib Naukluft National Park to release their three feline passengers; a female leopard, her cub and an adult male leopard, back into the wild.
