If you are an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative individual, this is the perfect opportunity
for you to have an amazing experience and make a difference in the lives of children and
animals.
You will spend up to four days of each week assisting the teacher at N/a’an ku sê
and Clabile‘s Clever Cubs School, which opened on the grounds of the Sanctuary in
November last year. The school provides vital free education to the San Bushman children whose
parents work at the sanctuary and who would otherwise not have access to education. The number
of children attending changes frequently with around 25, aged between 1 and 15 currently
attending.
Friday’s and the weekends will be spent with the Wildlife Conservation Volunteers looking
after the animals at the sanctuary including cheetahs, wild dogs, baboons, lions, meerkats and
leopards. Our wildlife conservation volunteers provide an important resource in caring for and
feeding the animals on a daily basis, helping to maintain and develop the sanctuary and
becoming surrogate parents to our orphaned baby baboons, bottle feeding and sleeping overnight
with them.
Find out what activities you will take part in,
visit our gallery and read some our
volunteer stories.
Volunteers are key to the success of this special place. All the money raised through our
volunteering program goes directly back into the project which provides employment,
education and accommodation to the local Bushman community and ensuring the rescue,
survival and rehabilitation of the animals which are housed in natural environments
around the site.
Our aim is to provide volunteers with the wonderful opportunity to experience African
wilderness in the knowledge that they are contributing to conservation and education.
