During the project, you will spend most of your time at our remote San (Bushman) clinic in
rural Namibia. Here, you will participate in and assist our doctor and nurse with the running
of the Lifeline Clinic and help provide primary healthcare to the local community. You will
provide hands on support at the clinic, participating in observations, running reception and
helping in the dispensary. You will deal closely with patients from the local San community,
learn more about their way of life and give care to patients living in extreme poverty at the
clinic's remote location.
You may also have the rare and exciting opportunity to work with the animals of Africa and
care for them in your spare time, assisting in their rehabilitation as part of our
wildlife volunteering program.
Our aim is to provide volunteers with the wonderful opportunity to contribute to the
medical welfare of the San community and experience unspoiled African wilderness. Find out
what activities you will take part in as a
medical volunteer, visit our gallery to see
pictures of our animals, the amazing scenery and past volunteers getting involved and read
some our volunteer stories.
Volunteers are key to the success of this special place. All the money raised through our
volunteering program goes directly back into the project which provides employment,
education and accommodation to the local Bushmen community and ensuring the rescue,
survival and rehabilitation of the animals which are housed in natural environments
around the site.
N/a’an ku sê is committed to playing a key role in
conservation and the protection of the Namibian wildlife, land and people. Come
and join our dream.
Please note, the four-five hour transfer from the Wildlife Sanctuary to the Lifeline
Clinic only occurs at certain times so please see the attached list
to ensure you experience the maximum time at the Clinic. If you arrive at another time you will remain
on the farm until the next transfer.
Help us continue to provide treatment to the marginalized Bushman
community by making a donation to our Lifeline Clinic
pay for a patient scheme.
