If you are hard working, full of common sense, self motivation and are ready to make a
commitment for animals and conservation we would love to welcome you to the conservation team.
You need energy and a basic level of fitness as the tracking involves lots of walking across
uneven ground. The project takes place at a remote location without life's normal luxuries but
it's an amazing way to experience nature and conservation whilst working as part of a team
with your fellow volunteers and research coordinator. Our volunteers come back dusty, tired
but overwhelmed with the adrenalin and excitement of tracking these wild cats in such
spectacular surroundings.
There are no special requirements in terms of background or qualifications for this project.
All necessary survey techniques such as VHF telemetry tracking are taught during the
expedition. Participants should be fit to walk between 10-15 km on a daily basis across rough
terrain and during high temperatures. Volunteers must be over 18.
