Welcome to N/a'an ku sê Foundation

Dr Rudie and Marlice van Vuuren, with long time friends Chris Heunis and Jan Verburg, started the award-winning N/a’an ku sê Foundation in 2006 to protect and improve the lives of the people and wildlife of Namibia.

Our vision is an Africa where humans and wildlife can live and thrive together. Our mission is to conserve the land, cultures and wildlife of Namibia and rescue species threatened by an ever-shrinking habitat.

African Wildlife

We run a Wildlife Sanctuary and Carnivore Conservation Research project to protect and conserve Namibia's vulnerable wildlife.

San Bushman Community

Our Clever Cubs School and Lifeline Clinic provide free education and healthcare to the marginalised San community.

Our Charity

As a charity we are solely reliant on generous donations, ecotourism and the time of volunteers to continue our vital work to help the people and animals of Namibia.

We do not receive any government funding and are thankful to individuals, companies, trusts and foundations across the world who support our projects.

Medical and Wildlife Volunteer

To become part of our dream, join our Volunteer Program and experience the unique opportunity to care for African wildlife at our sanctuary as a wildlife conservation volunteer, or work with the Bushman community at our clinic as a medical volunteer.

The Lodge

Visit our award-winning luxury Guest Lodge, situated on our beautiful nature reserve, 42km east of Windhoek. Guests can relax and enjoy the tranquil scenery, soak up the natural savannah paradise and experience incredible wildlife up close. We hope you build memories that last a lifetime...
